OUR JOURNEY

The Story Behind VOCI

From a bold vision to a growing movement, discover how VOCI is becoming a catalyst for change.

VOCI team collaborating

Founded in 2025 at Murang’a University of Technology, The Voice of Change Initiative (VOCI) emerged from a profound vision: to have a platform that can help people grow in their oratory skills.

We had the passion for seeing people communicate and express themselves boldly and in clarity. We sat down a number of times trying to see where could we begin from. At first in 2024 we wanted to come up with a club and call it "The Great Orators Club". We were determined to see it running back then but for some reasons we were never able to make it happen. With time Brian Ingwee, the founder, continued to have the burden to help people in their communication skills but he had not found the best way to do so. It is until when they started having deep conversations with Hopewin Adams that a new fire was re-ignited. VOCI came as a vision so bold and clear on the 12th of March 2025. Ingwee first shared the concept with Hopewin and that is when the journey of re-writing the vision of VOCI began. Coming up together with the founding team the journey of VOCI officially kicked off with a renewed spirit and a more clear strategy of bringing the vision to life. We are now no longer just interested in growing in public speaking but raising and building a network of transformative leaders in the major spheres of life. We continue to expand our reach, believing that by equipping one leader, we create a ripple effect that transforms many.
