OUR VISION

Introduction to Our Strategy

The Voice of Change Initiative (VOCI) is a transformative movement dedicated to empowering individuals with exceptional communication skills, authentic personal branding, and principled leadership to create meaningful impact across personal, communal, and global spheres.

Launched at Murang’a University of Technology in 2025, VOCI will establish a robust foundation before expanding regionally, continentally, and globally by 2032. This page outlines our current leadership and our evolving strategic roadmap.

PHASE 1 (2025)

Foundation at Murang'a University (MUT)

Our foundational team, based at MUT, is launching operations and building the framework for future growth.

OUR FUTURE

Leadership & Strategy (2026-2032)

This is our plan for structured growth, expanding from our foundation at MUT to a global movement.

Phase 2: Regional Expansion in Kenya (2026–2027)

Objective: Scale VOCI across Kenya, starting with Nairobi in 2026, adding 2–3 regions annually, achieving nationwide coverage by 2027.

Structure: Central Leadership Team (CLT) at MUT oversees Regional Leadership Teams (RLTs).

Central Leadership Team (CLT, MUT)

  • President: Sets national strategy, represents VOCI at national forums.
  • Vice President: Coordinates RLTs, supports national events.
  • Secretariat: Centralizes records, manages national communication.
  • Treasury Head: Manages VOCI’s annual budget (2026–2027).
  • Regional Coordinator: Oversees RLT establishment and supports regional directors.

Regional Leadership Teams (RLTs, Per Region)

  • Regional Director: Leads the regional branch, sets local goals, reports to Regional Coordinator.
  • Events Lead: Manages regional events (workshops, competitions).
  • Outreach Lead: Builds local partnerships with NGOs, businesses, and communities.
  • Membership Lead: Recruits and supports local members.

Growth: 2 regions (Nairobi, Central) in 2026, 3–5 regions by 2027 (e.g., Eastern, Rift Valley, Coast, Western).

Phase 3: African Network (2028–2029)

Objective: Expand VOCI to 3–5 African countries (e.g., Uganda, Tanzania, South Africa) by 2028, establishing a continental network by 2029.

Structure: Continental Leadership Council (CLC) oversees National Leadership Teams (NLTs).

Continental Leadership Council (CLC, Kenya)

  • President: Sets the African vision, represents VOCI at continental forums.
  • Vice President: Coordinates NLTs, supports continental events.
  • Secretariat: Manages continental records and communication.
  • Treasury Head: Oversees VOCI’s budget (2028–2029).
  • Continental Director: Leads NLT expansion, supports national directors.
  • Advisory Board (3–5 Experts): Provides strategic guidance on Pan-African outreach.

National Leadership Teams (NLTs, Per Country)

  • National Director: Leads country operations, sets national goals.
  • Events Lead: Manages national events.
  • Outreach Lead: Secures partnerships with local organizations.
  • Membership Lead: Recruits and supports national members.

Growth: 3 countries in 2028 (e.g., Uganda, Tanzania, South Africa), 5 by 2029 (e.g., Ghana, Nigeria).

Phase 4: Global Movement (2030–2032)

Objective: Establish VOCI as a global entity by 2032, with branches in 10+ countries across 3+ continents (e.g., Africa, Europe, Asia).

Structure: Global Leadership Assembly (GLA) oversees Continental Leadership Teams (CLTs).

Global Leadership Assembly (GLA, Kenya/Global Hub)

  • Global President: Sets the global vision, represents VOCI at international forums.
  • Global Vice President: Coordinates CLTs, oversees global events.
  • Global Secretariat: Manages global records and communication.
  • Global Treasury Head: Oversees VOCI’s budget (2030–2032).
  • Global Director: Leads CLT expansion, supports continental directors.
  • Advisory Board (5–7 Experts): Provides global expertise.

Continental Leadership Teams (CLTs, Per Continent)

  • Continental Director: Leads continental operations, oversees NLTs.
  • Events Lead: Manages continental events.
  • Outreach Lead: Secures continental partnerships.
  • Membership Lead: Recruits and supports members continentally.

Growth: 1 continent (Africa) in 2030, 3 by 2032 (e.g., Europe, Asia).

Procedures and Governance

Elections/Appointments

Annual elections held October 1 (3/4 vote), with terms shifting from 2 years (2025–2027) to 3 years (2028–2032). Departmental and lower-tier roles appointed by higher tiers annually on November 1.

Training

Training sessions post-election/appointment, recorded and scaled to regional (2026), national (2028), and global (2030) contexts, focusing on VOCI’s pillars.

Reporting

Monthly reports within tiers, quarterly reports across tiers, and annual global reports to track progress and impact.

Contingencies

Leadership gaps filled by interims within 7–90 days. Succession plans established by 2027. Budget shortfalls addressed through emergency amendments and sponsor outreach.
